Question   yLRFYsomUDnF
I have exalcty what info I want. Check, please. Wait, it's free? Awesome!

Answer Remember that there are three main things that afefct depth of field -- f-stop, focal length and distance to focus point. So if one thing, such as f-stop, does not do the job, then look to other things. Try more of a telephoto focal length. One reason I have extension tubes is so that I can focus close with any telephoto focal length -- I don't have to have a "macro" lens. Or look at distance -- get close to your subject and be sure that things in the background are not close behind it. Sometimes moving around or up and down can really change what is behind your subject. Rob

Question   photos
I just learned about your Web site at the luncheon hosted by Harriette and Bill Taylor. I have looked at every single photo in your galleries and feel that I was at a Georgia Travelogue. You have a sharp eye and capture so well the beauty that is around us. Your talent for focusing at just the best angle is inspiring. Now I want to see if I can take better pictures myself.

  Answer Alma,
Thank you so much for your comments on my photographs. The software I use on this web site allows me to respond, but has not given me your actual email address, so, I hope this reaches you. My email address is cs750@ aol.com and if you forward me your email address I will put you on my mailing list which I send out a couple of times a year to let interested people know what is happening in my world of photography. I have no doubt you will make great images if the passion is there to do so and I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I have enjoyed it.

Question   the Gallery
Charles,
The flowers and the nature shots are extraordinary and they do indeed invoke an emotional response. Beaty has always touched me with a bit of pleasant sadness. I suppose I have a little of the Japanese in me.
I would love to see some of these shots in a larger format.
